Whenever they have a draw for group stages in football / soccer tournaments, they divide every team into pots. Highest ranked teams in pot 1 etc. Once a team from a pot has been selected into a group they also need to decide when each game should be played. To do this they use as an example four balls in bowl for each group consisting of A1-A4 as an example.
What do they call the A1-A4 procedure? Could it be seed or starting position or something else?
