She said I should start a blog. I really want to know. I also learned that I can earn money (probably not much, but I can hope!) as I was also trying to find ways to get some money recently. How do I ask her to help me start one. I really want to get my opinion out there. I’m afraid she may say I’m “too young”.
TIA!
Hi. Im really new to blogging and a part of my blog is going to be book reviews. Are there any bloggers who write book reviews? Do you have any tips/tricks? Can anyone give me any advice about how to word things/how often to post/how to advertise? TIA!
I would like to have a newsletter on my blog, but it seems I might need to buy a dedicated email address for my domain. Is it possible to send emails through my own personal email, but make it seem like the address is actually something else (redirect)? Has anyone done that? Or do you spend money every month on a dedicated email address?
I’ve been blogging a tiny bit, paid the money for a site, and want to learn more about mushrooms while sharing with the world the beauty of fungus! The problem is, I don’t know how to go about writing my posts without just regurgitating information or summarizing other websites. Any advice?
Hello everyone
i wanted to ask for some guidance on blogging or building a website. I am really lost with which route to take and how to go about it.
i was laid off due to Covid. And currently on unemployment. I want to have a focus on gaming specifically competitive gaming on my favorite game. i want to do competitive news and previous winners of tournaments as well as how to get better to compete in these tournaments.
i also wanted to do patch notes and game changes
as well as best hardware for the game to get the best experience
updates on equipment and map changes as well as bugs.
I'm so lost i recently bought a go-daddy website builder and started building it and got stuck and decided i should probably do a blog style site Because my info will be updated regularly so i purchased word-press with blue host. And now i'm just lost especially with writing my first post.
i am very passionate about this game and competitive games in general and would like to possibly make a career out of it. Or at least get things rolling while on unemployment
i guess long story short should i stick with the word press blog site, or go with the Go daddy website. Which will get more attention (Word press seems a lot more confusing to me then the website builder with go daddy but i heard they suck.
is this even a good idea at all ?
My dream is to work from home doing what i love
(PS) i know every young person wants to make a gaming blog but im willing to put in the work to make this happen.
Hey folks, long time lurker, first-time poster. I've been blogging for years but never seriously, I just love to write. I currently run two blogs, mostly for fun and with not-so-set schedules.
My older, more popular blog is a personal lifestyle blog where I can write almost diary-like about big issues in my life. I've written about diet changes, my struggles with my day job, and promoted my poetry book on this blog.
My second blog is about my journey toward a nomadic lifestyle and skews toward a specific travel-based niche, think #VanLife vibes. Unfortunately, I stopped posting so much on this blog because of the virus and how it really stagnated my progress, but now I am returning to work on the project and will soon live full-time on the road. The dream for this blog was for it to chronicle the early building and planning process, and then eventually morph into a very niche travel blog.
It just occurred to me that as a full-time traveler, my personal blog could very easily become a travel blog as well. I could find other topics to write about, but I worry that I would always feel like I'm drawing some line in the sand between what is "travel lifestyle blogging" and what is just regular "lifestyle blogging by a traveler." I don't want to feel creatively confined when I sit down to write, always worried about which aesthetic I am trying to fit.
Both of the blogs are simple wordpress .com sites, nothing fancy. Should I just bite the bullet now and consolidate both blogs into one?
I am going to build a new website with elementor , share your experience with it if you have used it !
Basically my blog failed I get like 100 visitors a month and don't wanna pay hosting anymore cause it makes no money and nobody looks at it anyway. However, I'm still passionate about the topic and still want my posts to be out there so before I cancel my hosting I'd like to save all the post I've written and maybe move them to a free platform so the information is still available in some form. How do I do this? I don't wanna lose all my blog posts.
I recently just started a new science and technology blog. Like just a few hours ago. I'm looking to get some feedback. Let me know what you all think. Very excited to get into the world of blogging
If I buy that privacy thingy now will my name be "erased" or whatever from their list? Will I still get calls. Can people look up the owner of my site and find me lol?
Not doing anything weird, just a skincare blog but I'd prefer not to be known.
What to do

Hi guys,
So as the title says, the comment section doesn't show on most of my articles ... It only shows for the first 2. I checked the settings. Everything is good for WordPress and individual settings for posts.
Any idea ? I am kinda lost 😕
How can I find copyright free pics of famous people? cannot find on unsplash, pexels, pixabay, etc. I have tried search the name in Google images and then limited the usage rights to "creative commons" but the results there are very few.. and mostly with poor qualities. I have seen sites like azquotes.com and small sites like quotelicious.com with pics of people not from the creative common images found on Google. I don't think they pay for the pics. How do they find these people pics?
Examples:
https://quotelicious.com/dalai-lama-quotes/
https://www.azquotes.com/author/2191-Carol_Burnett
Any tips on how to get your pages indexed on Google faster after the request button is removed this month? I have like 5 pages not indexed and it's been weeks! I'm already in the sandbox as it is and now this delay will cost me much needed scaling time !
Hi all, I use yoast for Seo, I have switched show tags in search results off but they still show up when I go to my site. I click on some of the archives and tags and it’s a page not found error, I can’t seem to get this to stop. I am worried about it hurting my rankings. Any ideas? Thanks everyone!
I am planning to start/host a personal blog/site; what service is best for a starter? I am looking something that is value for money...
Thanks!!!!
Your help would be really appreciated.
If I make it where if you register as a member of my site for an ad-free experience, can I later use their email for a Newsletter list? I don’t have a po box quite yet to use as the address for the Newsletter is why I am asking this.
It's been 7 months for my first ever blog, a tiny whatever hobby blog and I don't enjoy writing anymore. I thought this would make me happy, but like everything else in life, hedonic adaptation took over. I don't want to advertise or do any of the social media work required because it feels like a skilled job I don't want. Maybe I was hoping to hit the jackpot with this. But I'm another hack writer with nothing interesting to talk or write about.
