Should I delete my social media accounts?

So for a while now, I've been thinking about deleting my social media accounts - if only so as to digitally detoxify myself from the web, and to not have people snoop on me. There's also the element of not wanting to read all the negativity.

My question is: should one delete all their social media accounts (Facebook / Twitter / Instagram), even if my websites are linked to them?
