Backstory: I am an elite athlete and want to share my story and help others via my blog. It’s running - so it’s not like I’m not making big bucks - but it’s relatable enough where there’s the potential to grow an audience. I want to share my story and use as way to increase exposure and possibly profitability through occasional sponsored posts.
I’m weighing the pros and cons of keeping my blog focus as an “athlete page” with a blog tab/page to use as a platform for sharing race reports, blogs, etc. Or, shifting more toward the blogging perspective and rebranding it like the “busy athlete” and creating a more traditional blog where I’m more the author than the “content”, if that makes sense.
I already have a decent Instagram and twitter following (~3k) and have blogged occasionally though irregularly and get decent feedback when I do. I want to grow the blog and socials in a way that generates revenue.
Does anyone have any advice on which seems to work better? Or any tips on either route?
