Blogging on request might sound strange at first but I could imagine that it becomes a thing. Imagine there is a crowd of people that votes on which topic they would like to read about in the future. And bloggers see which topics are popular at the moment, so they decide to fulfill the wish of the crowd and make a blog post about the topic.
This adds a whole new dynamic into the pot. You bloggers get to know what the people want to read, if 1000 people voted for a topic you know that you get about 1000 views if you fulfill their wish. And if it goes on for a while you build up a reputation, and people discover your blog because you fulfill wishes. Instead of advertising your blog somewhere and hoping that people stumble upon it. I'm working on something like that but don't want to spam it here.
What do you think, do you like the concept? Would you give it a different name?
I see the potential of the concept closer to the street, so you could get a local blogger on a topic on the street. Do you know that I mean?
