Is ~2500 words the standard?

Hi, I finally made the leap create my own blog. although I deal with UI in my day job, I never perused my own blog until now.

I’m just wondering if 2500 words is what I should aim for. I’ve been adding onto my blog draft trying to reach that count.

My first blog post is more introductory, not a true example of what I plan on sharing regularly.

I’m a perfectionist and want to start this off with a bang. I can keep doing what i’m doing if that’s the best.
