Hey fam!
First off, I wanted to thank you all. Going through posts on here has gotten my blog to a decent spot after 13 months.
We are growing a bunch, but our bounce rate has slowly increased since we started (Originally in the high 60%s, now 88%. Today I've started taking some steps towards fixing this, but I'd like some more input so I can help myself further. We are a geeky press site that covers comic books, board games, and anime. We also mess with video games and movies, but those sections are still growing.
Today I reduced our ads in our posts by about 30% (I'm okay with the loss of revenue for now).
Started linking similar articles together (Most of our isekai articles now link together). I will be working on changing up the way the site tags so that I can link these better.
I also added at the bottom of a post I made today a link (Call to action I guess?) to other reviews on the site.
Today our bounceback has decreased from 88% to 83%. Maybe these things are helping?
What do you guys think? What can we do to fix this bounce-back rate? For the first time, we weren't able to get media from a publisher because they didn't like our bounceback and session length.
