So I built and maintain a blog that's based around something I'm very passionate about. I started it eight months ago and wrote about a dozen articles. Since then, I have somewhat neglected it. I had some affiliate links up but they never made money.
Life got in the way of my website/blog and although I don't update it much, I do check traffic through google analytics sometimes. My traffic has grown about 20% each month, and currently sees over 500 users a month.
I am asking if anyone here thinks its weird that I am just NOW getting all these newsletter entries sent to me. On my front page I put a simple contact form that people could sign up for to receive e-mail alerts when I post new articles.
Until three weeks ago, no one signed up for my newsletter (except a few close real life friends). Now I am getting several entries per day. While I like to think they love my website, is there any red flag I should be seeing here?
If anyone can tell me what they think, I'd very much appreciate it!!
