I'm starting a new project, I don't want to limit myself to a niche. What are some pitfalls to avoid by going nicheless?

Basically, I'm starting a new project. Brand new. I want to write content for all sorts of things. From tech to tutorials, to top 10's, literally all sorts of topics. What are the implications of going down this path? I heard nicheless is bad, but, in my experience, it's been ok. Does anybody have any two cents?
