I come from a web development background and wanted to know if anyone has made a blog from scratch. By "from scratch" I mean just using HTML, CSS and JS. No wordpress or any other platforms. I've tried using wordpress a few different times and I've hated the layout and how restrictive it can feel compared to raw coding. I was wanting to know if that's a valid approach and if anyone has had any experience with it.
