Pinterest for traffic? Help?

I’ve red that Pinterest can be a large traffic source for new blogs. I am a financial niche. Would you recommend starter by a new Pinterest account or just using my personal account but hearing it towards my niche and keeping personal boards secret

I know you should focus on seo and google traffic but I’m barely getting any traffic and my blog is 4 months old? Help!
