Hi all! Today is the one month mark since some friends and I launched our blog. It's been a blast and we have really enjoyed learning so much over the past 30 days... I appreciate everyone's insights and advice here on r/blogging! Just for fun, I wanted to share our stats - please see below. We have a ton of room for improvement in SEO and getting mail subscribers (honestly, our email subscriber list is just embarrassing), but overall I was pleased with our start. I'm hoping we can keep the momentum, but it may be tough. We had 2 large spikes over the course of the month that got our numbers to where they are, thanks to being linked in relevant sub-reddits. We are active on reddit, quora, youtube, and instagram, but have not started promoting on facebook, twitter, or pinterest. Also of interest is that we are using Squarespace, which I know is not terribly popular among the blogging community. I like it, though I don't really have a good point of comparison. I'll say that with Squarespace we are really tied to our template and there have been times that I wanted to do something and just couldn't do it without having to devote a lot of extra time and energy. With that said, I feel like I was able to spin up a somewhat professional site in very little time with little to no knowledge and it has worked out - over the first 30 days at least. Anyway, thanks again to this sub for all of the helpful advice - I'm open to any additional thoughts, tips, or questions!
