Is a premium plan worth the extra $8/year? I've had my blog for about five years, and I enrolled WordAds as soon as I got my domain name. I was looking at the premium plan just now, and it says "Remove WordPress.com Ads" and "Instantly enroll into the WordAds network". It would be nice to earn money from my blog because then people around me wouldn't bitch at me for not having a day job. I am looking for jobs, but as far as I'm concerned, blogging is my job right now.
