How do you keep a constant flow of ideas for blogging?

I have a bit of a problem when it comes to blogging. I am very inconsistent. Some weeks I'll post 4 or 5 posts, and then I'll go for a month without posting at all. I want to try and improve my blog because it does seem to be getting a reasonable number of people visiting it.

I tend to blog about technical things and in particular Linux and programming. I don't want to blog about things everyone else is blogging about but at the same time coming up with original ideas is a bit tricky.

How do you go about deciding what idea to use for blogging?
