How to get attention on my posts?

Hello! I’m usually a lurker here but I decided to muster up the courage and start a blog. Its only been up for a week or so. A thing that I noticed is a lot of people who visit the site don’t click on posts, they just remain on the homepage.

My niche is a self improvement blog with a focus on questioning society norms and other things that don’t make sense in our world.
