I find it impossible to make more money from my site than it costs to run the site's server. Anyone else have this issue?

I run ads on my site, Google and Taboola, and both of these (particularly Taboola) causes redirects and my site to be slow. AS a result the server I can afford can't handle any traffic spikes. So I either have a lot of traffic and no revenue or low traffic and low revenue. There has to be a better way?

I just moved from SiteGround to Cloudways and my website speed just decreased dramatically. Wondering what others use, especially high traffic sites.

What hosting company are everyone with and would you recommend them?
