How often did/do you tweak your blog theme?

I'm running my first blog on WordPress that I've started back in February. It's an R&B music blog site and the niche-within-the-niche is present music from all over the world.

So I was happy to get it up and start posting, but many months in, I've realized that it can use a touch up.

So if you have been in a similar situation, what have you done? I barely have any engagement on the blog (maybe 2-3 a week) so it won't be missed for a day.

Also I'm also on a free account so I'm aware I'm locked with the free stuff. I don't plan to go next level like putting monetary investment into it until I'm comfortable with what I have now and build on it.
